Camera Glasses Detector Privacy Policy

Effective September 22, 2026. Updated October 10, 2026 for usage analytics.

Bluetooth observations

Nearby Bluetooth signals, match details, trusted devices, settings, and sighting history stay on your iPhone. We do not receive these observations. The app does not access your camera, microphone, Location Services, or contacts, and does not use advertising SDKs.

Usage analytics

Starting with version 1.0.1, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the app is used. The app records app opens, onboarding completion, paywall views, purchase and restore results (including the product ID), and opens from in-app event links. The Firebase SDK also records its standard automatic events: first open, session start, and engagement time (first_open, session_start, user_engagement). With these events Google receives a random app instance ID, an approximate region that Google derives from your IP address, basic device and app details such as model, iOS version, and app version, and diagnostic information. This data is not linked to your identity. The app has no account, does not set a user ID, and does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) or the identifier for vendors (IDFV). We do not use it for advertising or tracking, and we never send Bluetooth observations, device names, or signal readings to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.

Purchases

Optional Premium purchases are processed by Apple and managed with RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID, purchase history and transaction information, and technical device information needed to provide and restore purchase access. We do not send Bluetooth observations to RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Retention and choices

You can delete saved sightings in the app. Deleting the app removes local observations and settings. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records according to their policies. Analytics data goes to a Google Analytics property that we also use for another of our apps. Google keeps event-level analytics data for 2 months, and data tied to an app instance ID for 14 months after that app instance was last active, then deletes it. Aggregated reports that do not identify an app instance can be kept longer. The app has no in-app switch for analytics. To stop analytics collection, delete the app; a new install starts with a new random app instance ID. To request help with purchase data, analytics data, or privacy, email varolaksoy@gmail.com.
